Project Process

The service or process with potential clients includes a site visit/meeting firstly to identify the needs and wants of the client and getting a feel of what is required. We don’t just quote straight away, we prefer to discuss exactly what you are looking for and we can inform you of various options available.

From the below list of selected options, you can see that no two projects are ever the same and these questions help us provide the most competitive quote possible. Secondly, Rough drawings and/or Quotes are provided to client’s requirements and budget. More consultations may follow after this process to reach customer satisfaction.

After confirmation or acceptance of quote, detailed site measures and drawings are produced for the clients’ approval. No further steps are taken until the client is 100% happy and no request too inconvenient. Manufacturing & Assembly of the job starts while keeping constant communication with client. Mid assembly inspections are welcome.

Next is the site delivery and installation on premises. An install is only as good as the design so only skilled qualified tradespersons are used on installation. Finally, a full site cleanup is performed closely followed by quality control post job to the client’s satisfaction.

How much will a new kitchen cost?

This is a common misconception we face with potential customers.

A fixed price quote is put to clients based on the style, layout, colours, materials, hardware etc.

No two quotes are ever the same

How long do I have to wait for my new kitchen?

A usual lead time is between 3 – 4 weeks. However this can peak and trough depending on Northside Joinery and the clients availability. Eg. Christmas & School Holidays.

Can you match colours to my existing cupboards?

Yes, we carry on hand sample swatches from the majority of suppliers and will try our best to match to your existing colour scheme.

I work full-time. Can the work be done after hours or on weekends?

Yes, at Northside Joinery we understand that we work in this industry full time and not yourself. After hours work and weekend work can be organised to fit in with your schedule.

I just want the doors and benchtops changed?

This is fine. However you are restricted by what is already in the current space. Northside Joinery strongly recommends replacing the internal carcasses also as it does not attract a much higher cost.

Do you offer any warranties?

Yes, Northside Joinery has a 10 year warranty* on all our works in accordance with the QBCC.

All Blum products have a lifetime warranty.

90% of board materials come with 7 year warranty from Laminex and Polytec.

Can you fully rip out the old joinery/cupboards and replace with new?

Yes, this is much preferred by us because we can fix any issues that arise from the old joinery being removed..

Can you organise other trades?

Yes we can. Other trades involved can be coordinated by Northside Joinery.

Can you supply drawings on a quotation?

Yes we can. Although they will be rough concept drawings and will not have any dimensions or detail.

I’ve heard of 2-pac doors? What is this?

2 pac doors are in fact painted doors. It refers to the paint being in 2 parts on application being the paint itself and hardener.

Can you install my pre assembled kitchen?

We are more than happy to install your pre purchased kitchen or joinery unit but obviously we cannot warrant the materials used.

Our warranty does not cover

  • Succeeding work performed by anyone not currently employed by Northside Joinery
  • Inappropriate use as a result of extreme heat, flames, acids, chemicals or UV light
  • Materials that are improperly moved from their initial location of installation
  • Damage or cracks to materials from excessive weight, such as sitting or standing
  • Damage or cracks from excessive heat including, but not limited to, hot objects placed directly on surfaces
  • Defects or damage as a result of mistreatment or misuse
  • Flooding or water inundation
  • Storm Damage

What if I am not 100% happy with the final product?

Though we have not had an unhappy client, we do have policies and procedures in place for a prompt and courteous resolution.
